Snowray

X-ray diffraction, native on your Mac

Open Rigaku .raw, .ras, and .asc scans. Overlay samples, pick peaks, read d-spacings, calibrate, and export — all offline, no cloud, no account.

Features

Everything your scans need.
Nothing they don't.

Reads Rigaku formats

Open .raw, .ras, and .asc scans from MiniFlex and other Rigaku instruments — verified byte-for-byte.

Multi-sample overlay

Stack or overlay any number of patterns to compare samples at a glance.

Peak analysis

Automatic peak detection with d-spacing (Bragg), crystallite size (Scherrer), and FWHM — validated against PDXL.

Non-destructive processing

Kα2 stripping, SNIP background, smoothing, normalisation, and zero-offset calibration — the raw scan is never touched.

Reference overlays

Overlay bundled phases (Calcite, Quartz, Dolomite, Halite, Gypsum, Corundum) or your own stick patterns.

Fully on-device

No cloud, no account, no telemetry. Your data never leaves your Mac.

How It Works

Three steps. Zero effort.

1

Open a scan

Drag in a .raw/.ras/.asc file, or open several at once.

2

Analyse

Pick peaks, overlay reference phases, calibrate the zero offset, and read crystallinity.

3

Export

Save the workspace, or export plots (PNG/PDF) and data/peaks (CSV).

Your scans stay yours

Every scan, overlay, and result lives only on your Mac. No servers, no accounts, no data collection. Read our privacy policy.
